Hello, I’m Diana
Artist. Word-slinger. Reluctant rabble-rouser.
I didn’t set out to lead a rebellion.
But here we are.
If you’ve been simmering with the urge to make something—but can’t quite figure out where to start, what to say, or how to shut Blockhead up (that’s my name for the inner critic)—you’re in the right place.
I built Creativity Rebel as a place for the ones who’ve spent years doing all the things for all the people. The caretakers, the late bloomers, the exhausted perfectionists, the quiet rebels who’ve been politely holding it together while secretly craving time alone with scissors and glue sticks and a room of their own.
This is for you.
This is for us.
And it’s about damn time.
A little backstory (with glitter and crankiness)
I’ve been making things for decades—fiber art, collage, handmade zines, and creative mischief of all kinds. I didn’t go to art school. I didn’t follow a linear path. But I kept showing up for the part of me that needed to make.
I know what it feels like to ignore that part too long.
It doesn’t go quietly. It gets weird.
Unexpressed creativity leaks out in sideways ways—
passive-aggressive behavior,
anxious energy,
doomscrolling,
or a furious resentment because neither Domino’s or Michaels delivers at 4 in the morning.
Eventually, I realized making art isn’t a luxury.
It’s self-preservation. It’s self-rescue.
It’s a rebellious act of coming back to yourself.
What I believe:
Making art is an act of rebellion. Especially in a world that wants you small, quiet, and productive. And when you live with an oppressive Blockhead who thinks it’s the boss of you.
Creativity is not a phase. It’s a life force.
You don’t have to be trained, talented, or “selling it” to be an artist.
You get to start again. At any age, from any point, no permission needed.
And Blockhead is full of shit. (Yes, even when it sounds like your 6th grade art teacher.)
What happens here:
This space is part pep talk, part permission slip, and part creative uprising.
I share zines, prompts, ideas, and encouragement to help you reconnect with your creative voice—and maybe even throw a little glitter at your own rebellion.
If you’re ready to…
Push back against perfectionism,
Make weird, wonderful things again,
And find a creative community that gets it—
Hello, World!
This is me. Probably glue-sticky. Probably happy about it.
