Why Making Art Is My Favorite Act of Rebellion
There are days when making art feels like a luxury.
Or a waste of time.
Or something I should get to—right after the groceries, the laundry, the doctor appointments, the to-do list that never shuts up.
But I’ve come to understand something—deep in my bones, soul, and stubborn streak:
Every time I sit down to create, I’m doing something radical.

You’ve Got a Lot of Nerve
You’ve got a lot of nerve.
To want more.
To say no.
To start something new.
To pick up the paintbrush, the pen, the needle, the mic—after all this time.

Dear Creative Rebels,
You didn’t think you were going to wander through the wilds of creative rebellion all alone, did you? Oh honey, no.
We'd like you to meet someone. She’s brilliant. She’s blunt. She has a clipboard full of your half-finished ideas and a lot of opinions.
World, say hello to Miss Musey-Pants.

Meet Blockhead (a love letter to anyone tangled up with their inner critic)
You know that voice.
The one that hisses, “You’re not ready,” or “This has been done better,” or “Why even try?”
Yeah. That one.
I call mine Blockhead.
